About Remove PDF annotations
Can I remove highlights and sticky notes from a PDF?
Yes, when they are stored as editable PDF annotations on the selected pages. Markup already flattened into the page artwork cannot be removed by this operation.
Are links and form fields removed too?
No. Link annotations and interactive form widgets are retained. This is a comment-cleanup tool, not secure redaction or a complete privacy scrubber.
Is this tool free, and do files get uploaded?
Yes. This tool runs locally in your browser without an account. PolyPDF does not receive your input files. Downloads are saved only when you choose to save them.
What files and limits does this tool support?
Choose 1 PDF files. The toolkit supports up to 30 MB per file, 80 MB total input, and 500 PDF pages. Image rendering is limited to 100 pages per operation and 16 megapixels per page. Password-protected files are unsupported; editing signed files is blocked.
Can an AI assistant use this tool?
Yes. The downloadable local MCP server exposes the same operation and validation rules. Compatible browser agents can use the selected files through WebMCP when their browser supports it. Read the setup and privacy details.
