A practical example

What units does the PDF crop tool use?
Margins are entered in PDF points: 72 points equal one inch. They trim the existing crop box along the unrotated page axes. All four margins must leave a visible page area.
Is cropped content permanently removed from the PDF?
No. Cropping changes the visible page boundary. Hidden content can still be present and recoverable. Do not use this tool to remove confidential information.
Is this tool free, and do files get uploaded?
Yes. This tool runs locally in your browser without an account. PolyPDF does not receive your input files. Downloads are saved only when you choose to save them.
What files and limits does this tool support?
Choose 1 PDF files. The toolkit supports up to 30 MB per file, 80 MB total input, and 500 PDF pages. Image rendering is limited to 100 pages per operation and 16 megapixels per page. Password-protected files are unsupported; editing signed files is blocked.
Can an AI assistant use this tool?
Yes. The downloadable local MCP server exposes the same operation and validation rules. Compatible browser agents can use the selected files through WebMCP when their browser supports it. Read the setup and privacy details.
