About Number PDF pages
Can I start numbering after the cover page?
Yes. Enter the page range to number and choose a starting value. Numbering follows the order of the selected pages, so an excluded cover does not consume a number.
Will page numbers change the PDF’s page labels?
No. Numbers are added as visible page content. They do not rename drawing sheet identifiers or change PDF page labels shown by a viewer. Check that their placement does not cover existing text.
Is this tool free, and do files get uploaded?
Yes. This tool runs locally in your browser without an account. PolyPDF does not receive your input files. Downloads are saved only when you choose to save them.
What files and limits does this tool support?
Choose 1 PDF files. The toolkit supports up to 30 MB per file, 80 MB total input, and 500 PDF pages. Image rendering is limited to 100 pages per operation and 16 megapixels per page. Password-protected files are unsupported; editing signed files is blocked.
Can an AI assistant use this tool?
Yes. The downloadable local MCP server exposes the same operation and validation rules. Compatible browser agents can use the selected files through WebMCP when their browser supports it. Read the setup and privacy details.
