A practical example

About Bates numbering
How do I continue Bates numbering across several PDFs?
For one continuous result, merge the PDFs first and number the combined file. For separate files, enter the next starting number manually for each file and check the ranges for gaps or duplicates.
Does the digit setting limit the maximum Bates number?
It sets the minimum digit width by adding leading zeros. Larger numbers are not truncated. Bates labels identify pages; they do not certify completeness or replace a document-control register.
Is this tool free, and do files get uploaded?
Yes. This tool runs locally in your browser without an account. PolyPDF does not receive your input files. Downloads are saved only when you choose to save them.
What files and limits does this tool support?
Choose 1 PDF files. The toolkit supports up to 30 MB per file, 80 MB total input, and 500 PDF pages. Image rendering is limited to 100 pages per operation and 16 megapixels per page. Password-protected files are unsupported; editing signed files is blocked.
Can an AI assistant use this tool?
