About Compare PDF text
Can this compare scanned PDFs or drawing geometry?
It compares existing text layers only. Scans without text and geometry-only drawing changes are not detected. Use a visual drawing-comparison workflow when linework, symbols, or layout changes matter.
What happens if pages have been inserted or reordered?
Pages are compared by their position, not matched by content. An inserted page can shift later comparisons. The JSON reports page counts, changed lines, repeated-line differences, and text-order-only changes; review those findings in context.
Is this tool free, and do files get uploaded?
Yes. This tool runs locally in your browser without an account. PolyPDF does not receive your input files. Downloads are saved only when you choose to save them.
What files and limits does this tool support?
Choose 2 PDF files. The toolkit supports up to 30 MB per file, 80 MB total input, and 500 PDF pages. Image rendering is limited to 100 pages per operation and 16 megapixels per page. Password-protected files are unsupported; editing signed files is blocked.
Can an AI assistant use this tool?
Yes. The downloadable local MCP server exposes the same operation and validation rules. Compatible browser agents can use the selected files through WebMCP when their browser supports it. Read the setup and privacy details.
