PolyPDF 1.1.2 is a substantial update. It adds Visual Search with automatic counting, fixes several bugs that could lose your work, and repairs keyboard copy and paste throughout the app.

Fixed

• Copy and paste in text fields. Command‑X, Command‑C, Command‑V and Command‑A did nothing in every text field in the app — the license key box, search, layer and file renaming, text markups and dialog fields. Pasting was impossible and text had to be typed by hand. All four shortcuts now work everywhere, from both the keyboard and the Edit menu, and continue to act on selected markups when you are not editing text.
• Pro activation being lost. A temporary problem reaching the activation server — an offline moment or a brief network fault — could reset an activated copy to the Free tier and require reactivating. PolyPDF now keeps your activation through transient failures and only reconsiders it when the server gives a definitive answer.
• Edits to markups from 1.0.x files being lost. Moving or resizing a measurement or markup imported from a file created by the earlier native version of PolyPDF was silently undone the next time the document was opened, and the next save made the loss permanent. Those edits now stick. Please note that edits already lost this way cannot be recovered — if you have repositioned markups in a 1.0.x‑authored file, it is worth checking their positions.
• Saving documents that use cross‑reference streams. Editing and saving certain PDFs — typically large CAD and plan sets produced by modern authoring tools — could write a file that other viewers reported as damaged. PolyPDF now writes the correct structure for these documents and checks it before replacing your file. Note that this update prevents new damage; it does not repair a file that an earlier version already saved incorrectly. If you have such a file, re‑save it from the original where possible.
• Editing page text. Confirming an edit could leave you stuck in editing mode with no way out. Confirming now always resolves — it commits your edits and leaves edit mode or, on the rare line PolyPDF cannot change, keeps that line open and tells you why, so you can fix or discard it.

• Visual Search and automatic counting. Select any symbol on a drawing — a light fixture, a receptacle, a diffuser — and PolyPDF searches the page for other instances of it. Review and adjust the matches, then commit them to a single Count series in one step, which is dramatically faster than clicking out a large count by hand. Included in the free app, and counts committed from Visual Search do not use up the free allowance of 3 measurements per document.
• Search panel. Text search now has a dedicated panel with results in context and highlighting across the document.
